Explosion-Proof Conduit Fittings

A conduit system in a classified area is only as sound as the fittings that join it. This range covers the pieces between the enclosures: EYS sealing fittings that form field-installed seals, UNY and UNF unions that let a rigid run be broken and remade, REA reducers and PLG plugs that close and adapt unused entries, ST and STG watertight hubs for enclosure entry, and the KF-GJH stainless flexible coupling with its KF-LK and KF-XG adapters for runs that must absorb vibration or movement. Trade sizes run 1/2" through 6" depending on the family. Under the CEC, the seal, its placement and the fitting's suitability follow from the area classification, the enclosure marking and the certified installation instructions — not from the fitting alone. Send the classification drawing and enclosure schedule for a fitting takeoff.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about explosion-proof conduit fittings and hazardous location requirements.

Where the run must absorb vibration or movement. The KF-GJH is listed to UL 1203 with ATEX and IECEx certificates, in lengths of 4" to 36" per the UL specification. Both end connectors switch between male and female thread, and the all-stainless assembly absorbs vibration over long-term service.
