Class I Division 1 covers locations where ignitable gas or vapour concentrations exist or may exist under normal operating conditions, including the continuous and intermittent cases that the Zone system separates into Zones 0 and 1. Class I Division 2 covers locations where those concentrations are not likely in normal operation and, if they occur, persist for a short time. Use the authenticated classification drawing rather than choosing from the application name alone.
