Is NEMA 4X explosion-proof?

No. NEMA 4X means watertight, dust-tight and corrosion-resistant for indoor or outdoor use. A station can be rated NEMA 7 and 4X at the same time — explosion containment plus washdown and corrosion performance — but a 4X rating on its own says nothing about hazardous locations.

Which operators can be fitted?
