How working with LEDEX works

From the first photometric concept through delivery, here's exactly what to expect when you engage the LEDEX team. The process is built for project managers, specifying engineers, and electrical contractors across Canada.

1. Classification drawing review

Send the authenticated drawing, group, minimum ignition temperature and lighting objective. Our application specialist identifies compatible models and flags missing inputs. The qualified person who prepared the classification remains responsible for it.

2. Free photometric study

For qualifying projects of 25 fixtures or more, we prepare an AGi32 or DIALux photometric study at no charge. It shows the layout, expected illuminance and system wattage before you order.

3. Firm quote

The quote identifies the complete part number, records applicable to that model, lead time and freight. Your team knows which product and documentation it will receive.

4. Production and shipping

Canadian production and shipping out of our Quebec facility. Most standard configurations ship in 2 to 4 weeks. Installation support from our technical team is included.

Provinces and regions we serve

LEDEX ships across Canada and works in English and French. Product selection accounts for the code edition adopted by the province and the requirements of the authority having jurisdiction.

  • Quebec — RBQ Building Code + CEC section 18
  • Ontario — ESA + Ontario Electrical Safety Code
  • Alberta — Alberta Electrical Code + AB OH&S
  • British Columbia — BC Electrical Safety Regulation
  • Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Atlantic provinces — provincial regulations
  • Yukon, NWT, Nunavut — mining and energy projects in the north

Certifications and compliance

Listings depend on the model, wattage and options. We supply the record applicable to the ordered part number so your team can verify the complete marking.

  • UL 844 — Luminaires for use in hazardous locations
  • UL 1598A — Luminaires for wet/process locations
  • CSA C22.2 No.137 — Luminaires for use in hazardous locations (Canada)
  • IECEx — Available on request for international projects
  • NEMA 7, 4X — Enclosure ratings for junction boxes and stations
  • DLC, ENERGY STAR — Model-dependent for utility-rebate qualification
