The estimator is ideal for: validating a layout idea before requesting a quote; quickly comparing two fixture models (e.g., TITAN C1D1 vs FORTRESS C1D2); giving specifying engineers a visual starting point. It is NOT a substitute for a sealed photometric study for code submissions or inspection approvals.
The online estimator is enough for preliminary planning. For commissioning, permitting, or code compliance with CEC section 18 / NFPA 33, you need a sealed photometric study (AGi32 or DIALux) signed by an engineer. LEDEX produces these at no cost for projects of 25 fixtures or more — including the AGi32 report, grid-based illuminance calculation, and optics recommendations.
