Select lighting for your operating temperature
Start with the conditions at the luminaire, then narrow the fixture and configuration. Share these four details with us for a project review.
- 1
Measure the ambient temperature
Record the maximum air temperature at fixture height during normal production, including nearby heat sources and ventilation conditions.
- 2
Choose the fixture format
Use high bays for open overhead areas and linear fixtures for production lines and walkways. Include mounting height, access and available space.
- 3
Confirm the configuration
Check the ambient limit for the exact output, driver, mount and accessories. Check any emergency battery option separately and include the area classification where applicable.
- 4
Plan the light levels
Send the dimensions, voltage, target lux or foot-candles and controls. Use the selected model’s photometric data to review coverage and uniformity.
